2013 Pinot Noir
About This Vintage
The 2013 Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir is our fifth release and it’s made from clones Dijon 115(94%) and UCD 23 (6%). Overall, the vintage had optimal growing conditions and yields averaged 3.2 tons/acre. In September we experienced a heat spike, and we harvested everything within a five day period. All fruit was hand sorted and whole-berry destemmed into open-top fermenters for 16-20 day fermentations. The wine was aged in French oak (50% new) sur lie for 15 months before being bottled unfined
Aromas of dark red fruits, rose petal, black tea and red liquorice. The mouth feel is silky smooth with bright concentrated wild berry, rich strawberry, savory spice and a lingering plush finish.
