Estate
Organically Grown in the Eagle PEAK AVA
Rising majestically from the valleys below is the Masút estate. Encircled by the headwaters of the Russian River and nestled amidst coastal forests and expansive grasslands, the ranch exudes an untamed and rugged allure. The diverse soils and varied microclimates create a captivating and unique landscape. Two distinct locations are dedicated to vineyards: one on the lower slopes and the other perched high on the ridge. These vineyards are all organically farmed, with each block and clonal selection receiving meticulous attention throughout the growing season.
“This area of Mendocino was home to the native Pomo people for thousands of years, and the name ‘Masút’ honors a former village near the ranch, meaning ‘dark, rich earth’. The Pomo people were artistically gifted, producing beautiful basketry and other artifacts. They were peaceful people living in harmony with nature.”
